Vacation

Pic courtesy: ealta.eu.org/

We're going on vacation for a few days. Take care all and see you around the middle of August. This has been a great summer so far especially because I managed to meet not one, but two blogger friends, both visiting from the US. Booklogged from "A Reader's Journal"
visited us in the first week of July and then Amna from "The Turquoise Lounge" visited with me today! Both are such wonderful, warm, beautiful and personable people, I really enjoyed meeting them and getting to know them better. Booklogged and Amna you are welcome back anytime, please do visit again soon!

It's been so warm here recently. What's it like your neck of the woods and what are you doing to stay cool? I'm reading "The Penguin Book of Summer Stories" compiled by Alberto Manguel. It was given to me by a friend and I am enjoying it immensely.

Well, see you all later...

Are you off to Poland, then? Have an exciting time of it, and i'll be waiting to hear all about the vacation, Lotus!

Thanks for the Shelfari invite. It's a lot of fun, and knowing our blogger friends, the group is also quite likely to be active.

Lotus please enjoy your vacation and have a great great time! It's been warm here past few days. Today is 95F (35 deg C) and humid. Fun eh?
My idea of staying cool is turn the a/c on :-) (how unoriginal!)

That book The Penguin Book of Summer Stories" sounds like a good read. Maybe you will tell us a bit about this book after you come back?

Again have a great time off. :-)

@nocturne ~ Whoa, you are some Night Owl! :) Yes, we're off to Poland! Thanks a bunch for joining Shelfari, I haven't been too active there yet, but let's hope we can make some noise when I return? I joined the India lit. group that you are on...

@Saaleha ~ Hi!!! Thank you for the wishes...this is probably not going to be one of those relaxing vacations, but I will try to get some reading done.

@Sanjay ~ Air conditioning is completely necessary for that kind of heat. Hope the weather's better in Europe. Anyway, been meaning to tell you, BBC 4 has some wonderful India-Pakistan programs to commemorate India's 60th Independence day. Tune in if you can.

Yes, will definitely have to rave about Penguin's summer stories. Stay tuned mon ami and thank you for the wishes!

Have a wonderful trip, Lotus.

It's hot and humid here. No evening walks for us until it's a bit cooler. We're staying cool inside with the AC on, wishing we were in the Pacific Northwest!

Safe travels to you!!
