Hiatus Interruptus

Hello everyone! Thank you, all of you, for your wonderful notes while I've been away, I have missed you guys!!!

I'm just interrupting this hiatus to share with you what I won as second prize from Booklogged's
"Winter Classics Challenge" : it's a wonderful miniature sheet of British Jane Eyre postage stamps. These stamps were issued on the 150th death anniversary of Charlotte Bronte who died in March 1855. They are just beautiful and I will treasure them so much, booklogged, thank you!

This lovely gift has prompted me to start a collection of memorobilia from the classics with an emphasis on leading female characters and women writers. There will be ample to choose from,I am excited! :)

I also received a fab "Last Line" bookmark in purple and gold and some copper page markers...they are just wonderful and soooo useful, thank you again, booklogged!

Hope to be back early April...so see you all then!

What a great idea! I'll be on the look out for stuff like that myself. I might be able to get you some Jane Austen stuff. We live very close to her last residence!

@ML ~ yes it is, isn't it? I can't wait to frame it up and put it somewhere nice where I can enjoy it!

@Jenclair ~ Thank you! Yes, I am very lucky to have won the stamp collection, I have always loved "Jane Eyre" and seeing the wonderful characters on stamps has added to the enjoyment!

@Dawn ~ That's great! Yes, please do let me know if you spy any good stuff on Jane Austen or any of her characters. I am going to write to you soon, I loved reading all about your retreat!!! So glad you got to go!

@Asha ~ Yeah, I, too was a big collector of stamps and postcards. I still have most of my postcards, but, like you, I have no idea where my stamps are! :(

@Sanjay ~ Thank you so much! I hope I can return sooner...it's been a busy month so far and still a lot to do before I can reclaim some time for myself, but thanks for asking!

@Gautami ~ Aww, I miss you, too! I also miss your thought-provoking and sometimes witty poetry. Will visit you soon, sorry I have been absent so long.

@Starry Nights ~ Thank you, it is a beautiful collection and one that I will treasure!

@Les ~ Aww, thank you! I miss you, too. Hopefully the second fortnight of March won't be as busy as the first one...will see you soon, Les.
