Creative Writing

I did it! I signed up for a Creative Writing course! This is something I had been wanting to do for quite a while now so I am glad I made the call and enrolled. I guess this is going to mean more writing on paper and less on the blog (for a while atleast). It's a busy time right now and I didn't think I would be able to make time for this course, but with a little juggling I managed to rearrange my schedule at the hospital so that it frees time up for the program.

Awww, Melissa, thank you so much! I would share but who knows what my pen will reveal once it gets going - this is a "G" rated blog after all! ;)

Thanks, guinessgirl...I am very excited!!!

Thank you so much, bookbaglady, for your encouraging comment. I don't know about my command on the English language - I know I can't seem to shed the Indo-Anglian colloqialisms, but I am trying! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lotus, I daresay you'd be pretty cool with non-fiction, journals, memories etc since you are so clever with book reviews.
I think your English is exemplary.
Do you have the option to choose a field like children's or a play?
Perhaps you could write romance & that's a delicious thought.
I also think you'd be pretty good at writing out documentary or docu-drama film scripts on social issues as you are able to lay out arguments very nicely.
I hope you won't stop blogging less. Otherwise, I shall miss you.
*love*

Hi, Susan! Thanks very much for the support and encouragement; it is so good of you to stop by. I think you've judged me well, in that, media writing is probably more my style than creative writing, but as I have to start somewhere, I thought I'd take the plunge with creative. Having never done a writing course before, I don't know what to expect. I don't even know if we write on paper or word processors! :) It's all very new to me!

I enjoy reading about your experiences as a writer - I think all of that, combined with my love of reading, has promoted an interest in the craft of writing. So, thank you! :)

That's fantastic, Lotus! Enjoy your writing where ever it takes you to whether on paper or keyboard. I can only write on computers these days.

Great to see you here again, sruthi! Hope you've been up to a lot of mischief while on hiatus? :)

I feel the same way as you - why, oh why, did I pick science to major in over English lit.? Ahhh, wait, maybe there is a job for us out there---we can write science text books! Ok, maybe not. I'll have to think of something else! :)
