They left right after he graduated, he postponed college, and his sister skipped a year in high school for a home schooling situation on the boat. He opted out before the year was up, but his sister made the entire year before returning to attend the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, a state supported residential high school for students with high abilities.
